About our Campus Orientation Walk

On Wednesday, the 25th of July, the CDMC organised a Campus Orientation Walk for the benefit of the 1st years, as in tradition in Law School. Unfortunately, unlike the tradition of enthusiastic participation in this walk by atleast one-third of the fresher batch, this time we had a total of 11 first-years attending the walk despite having organised it at two slots for their convenience. We would like to express our concern and dismay at the poor turnout. Possibly, campus related issues rank low in the priority of students facing economics and projects for the first time. However, we would like to remind the first-years that our campus will be your ‘home-away-from-home’ for the next five years. There are many issues, big and small, regarding the running of the campus that affect your enjoyment of the campus and you have missed an opportunity to find out more about these issues. We can only hope that the first-years will realise (sooner rather than later) that they are major stakeholders in our campus and they owe it to themselves to show some interest in the way things work here.

CDMC would like to thank Deeksha, Prashant Reddy, Vinayak and Amogh for spending their time to make the Campus Orientation Walk a more interesting experience for those sincere and lucky first-years who did turn up.
